Julia cut her teeth in the PR industry in London under the direction of Joan Scott, another ‘JSPR’ where she became a board director and specialised in health, not-for-profit and travel accounts.  After several years with  MS&L, one of the world’s leading communications companies, she left in 1994 to start her own travel and leisure PR consultancy. She took with her the Slow holiday tour operator Inntravel, which remains a client to this day.

Having had itchy feet from a young age, Julia has a genuine passion for travel and the outdoors life. In her gap year she spent six months as an au pair in the High Pyrenees, and later had a wild four months as a DJ in a Gothenburg nightclub. This year her own personal travels have included an Easter pilgrimage that finished at Sheffield Cathedral, a week of pedalling en famille in northern Portugal, and a fun-packed week at the Edinburgh Fringe.

She lives with Stephen in an Oxfordshire market town, and has two (usually) grown-up children.

Call Hugh on 01491 824524

Following graduating from Durham University with a degree in history, and a final dissertation on Scott of the Antarctic, Hugh’s first job in travel was at independent guidebook publisher Bradt Travel Guides. After three and a half years running the marketing department, Hugh decided to focus on a career in PR and moved to JSPR in the summer of 2016. A keen ‘foodie’, Hugh often spends his weekends searching out local producers and restaurants to try in the Chiltern Hills and beyond.

A self-confessed Scandi-addict, recent holidays have included cross-country skiing in Arctic Finland and trekking in Norway. Next on the list, New Zealand or the Pacific Northwest.
